Is the John Mayer Trio back?

In the spring of 2005, Mayer formed the John Mayer Trio with bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan, both of whom he had met through previous studio sessions. The trio played a combination of blues and rock music. In October 2005, the Trio opened for The Rolling Stones during a sold-out club tour of their own, and that November, released a live album called Try! The band took a break in mid-2006.

BUT, they all continued together and now, according to E! News, they might be considering a new album!

John ‘SEXYBEAST’ Mayer: I do. It was a preteen talent night in Westport, Connecticut. I was cocky. I made posters for my performance. I got on stage and the nerves hit so hard that a couple of my fingers just wouldn't move. It was remarkably bad. 

Richard(DAD): I wouldn't say that. But do you remember in Back to the Future when played "Johnny B. Goode"? And the people just sat there and looked with their mouths open because they couldn't get what he was doing? That's pretty much what happened. 

John: Ohh dad, i love you.

Rumors have been floating around that John Mayer and the Maniston are back together, but a rep for Mayer confirmed that they are indeed splitsville.

"After his tour wrapped on September 11, he traveled back to his NYC home. He's been out with friends and catching up on much-needed rest," said a source.

Thank God. That relationship sucked.
